Who takes my money
Not this office. The company that runs the trip bills you directly, under its own contract, using its own payment page. Quiet Quarterly Bookings LLC never sees a card number, never asks for one, and has no field on this site that accepts one. If any page here ever appears to ask you for card details, it is not us and you should stop.
What does Quiet Quarterly charge me for arranging this
Nothing. There is no arrangement fee, no booking fee and no service charge added to your total. Ask the operating company for its own price and you will get the same figure this office quotes you, because it is the same figure.
So who is paying this desk, and when
The operating company pays this office a commission, and it pays it after you come home, not when you book. That timing matters more than the arrangement: an office paid on completed travel has no reason to push you toward a trip you will regret, because a cancelled or abandoned booking pays nothing at all.
Is the figure you send me the final price
It is final for the dates and the party size written on it, and it holds for as long as the operating company holds it, which is usually seven to fourteen days and is stated on the sheet. Change the dates, add a person, or let the hold lapse, and the number is recalculated from scratch.
What if the operating company changes the price after I ask
You are told the new figure in writing before anything is confirmed, along with what moved and by how much. Nothing is booked at a number you have not seen. If the change is one you will not accept, the request stops there and you owe nobody anything.
How long until somebody answers me
The request form runs 24/7 and never closes. Whatever lands in it is read by a person before the end of that working day, so you will hear that it arrived and what happens next. A written figure priced against your particular dates takes two to four working days, because two operating companies have to answer this office first and they answer on their own schedule.
Can you hold a place while I decide
Sometimes, and it depends entirely on the operator, not on us. Some will hold a room or a seat for a stated number of days without payment; others will not hold anything until a deposit reaches them. The written figure tells you which of the two you are dealing with, so ask before you assume.
I am one person and the room is priced for two. What can be done
Three things, in descending order of usefulness. Some trips carry a small number of rooms priced for one occupant, and those go early. Some operators will pair you with another solo traveler of the same sex if you agree to it in advance. Some will only sell you the double at the double price. the obstacle grid marks which trips fall where, and Quiet Quarterly will not pretend a supplement is smaller than it is.
My dates moved. What now
Say so as early as you can, in writing. Before a deposit reaches the operator, moving dates usually costs nothing and simply means the figure is worked out again. After a deposit, the operator's own rules apply and they vary from a small administrative charge to no change at all being possible. This office does not set those rules and cannot waive them.
How do I cancel
You tell this office and this office tells the operating company the same day, but the contract you are cancelling is theirs, so their published terms govern what comes back to you. Those terms are given to you before you commit, not after. the cancellation terms sets out how the process runs from this end and what this office does not control.
What if you get something wrong
Then it gets fixed at this office's cost where a cost can be borne, and where it cannot, you get told exactly what happened rather than a softened version. Do you rank these trips
No. There is no first place on this site and no order of merit. The catalogue is indexed by six obstacles, the practical things that stop people going, and a trip appears under an obstacle when it survives that obstacle and is marked plainly when it does not. Twenty-two trips, six obstacles, no league table.
I want you to tell me which one is better
That question cannot be answered without knowing which of the six obstacles is yours, and once that is known the question usually answers itself. What this office will do is say which trips fail your particular obstacle, which is a more useful sentence than a recommendation. Better is a property of the match, not of the trip.
Do you sell travel insurance
No. Quiet Quarterly Bookings LLC does not sell, arrange, recommend or advise on travel insurance of any kind, and will not tell you whether a policy you already hold covers a given situation. That is a question for the insurer whose name is on the policy, or for a licensed broker.
Can you help with visas or entry documents
No. Entry requirements, visas and passports are outside what this office does, and it will not check, interpret or advise on them. The authority for the country you are entering is the only source worth acting on, and requirements change without notice.
Can you advise on vaccinations or whether I am fit to travel
No. Medical questions are for a physician who knows your history, not for a booking office. If a trip has a physical demand written into it, this office will tell you what that demand is in miles, hours and elevation so you can take real numbers to the person qualified to answer.
Do you run any of these trips yourselves
No. Quiet Quarterly Bookings LLC is a booking office. It takes your request and places the reservation with the company that owns the vehicles, the guides, the rooms and the schedule. It is not an airline, a hotel group, a shipping line, a railway, an operator or a booking portal, and no such firm owns it or speaks for it.
Do you book flights
Not as a seller of air tickets, and the lookup on the front page does not make this office one. Where an operating company includes flights in what it sells, they arrive as part of that booking. The lookup is a separate thing again: it works out how far a route is, then hands your dates to a booking company that is not this office, which quotes, holds the seat and takes the payment on its own pages. No fare from it is ever seen here.
We are eight people and two of us are slow. Is that a problem
It is the most common request this office gets, which is why mixed pace is one of the six obstacles rather than a footnote. Group requests are welcome. Tell us the number, the age spread and the one person you are most worried about, and the answer will address that person specifically.

Nothing on this site commits you to anything, and there is no stage at which a request turns into a booking by default.
Where these answers stop being useful
Every answer above is general, and the useful part of this office's work is the opposite of general. The moment a real party is described, with real weeks and a real constraint, half of the twenty-two trips fall away and the remaining ones split into the ones that fit and the ones that would technically work while making somebody unhappy. That second category is the one worth talking about, and it does not survive being written down in advance.
The other thing a page cannot do is say no on your behalf. Where a trip does not survive your obstacle, this office says so directly and in writing, and that sentence is often the most valuable one in the exchange. the questions people ask covers the mechanics; the specifics come from a conversation.
